Accessibility Statement

Effective Date: April 1, 2026

Last Revised: April 8, 2026

1. Our Commitment

Tapin Wallet is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of ability, disability, or technology. We believe that every person should be able to access, navigate, and interact with our website with ease and dignity.

We recognize that accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a one-time achievement. We continuously review and improve our site to ensure we meet or exceed applicable accessibility standards. Our goal is to remove barriers and create an inclusive digital experience for all users, including those who rely on assistive technologies.

This commitment extends to our design process, development practices, content creation, and third-party partnerships. Accessibility is a core principle — not an afterthought.

2. Conformance Status

Tapin Wallet aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines define how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.

Current Status: Partially conformant. We believe the majority of our website meets WCAG 2.1 Level AA requirements. Some areas are still being reviewed and improved, as detailed in the Known Limitations section below.

Target: Full WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance across all pages and interactive elements.

3. Scope

This accessibility statement applies to the following web properties:

  • Main website: tapinwallet.com
  • All subpages including: Home, QR Landing, Coming Soon, Terms & Legal, and this Accessibility page

This statement does not cover third-party content, external links, or embedded services that are not under Tapin Wallet's direct control.

4. Accessibility Features

The following accessibility features have been implemented across the Tapin Wallet website:

4.1 Navigation & Structure

  • Skip to Main Content: A "Skip to main content" link is provided as the very first focusable element on every page, allowing keyboard users to bypass repetitive navigation and jump directly to the primary content area.
  • Semantic HTML: We use proper HTML5 semantic elements throughout the site — header, nav, main, section, footer — to ensure screen readers can identify page regions.
  • Heading Hierarchy: Pages follow a logical heading structure (h1 → h2 → h3) so that screen reader users can navigate by headings.
  • Landmark Roles: ARIA landmark roles (role="banner", role="main", role="navigation") are used to define major page sections.
  • Descriptive Navigation Labels: Navigation elements include aria-label attributes to distinguish between multiple navigation regions (e.g., "Main navigation" vs "Mobile navigation").

4.2 Keyboard Accessibility

  • Full Keyboard Navigation: All interactive elements (links, buttons, form controls) are accessible via keyboard using Tab, Shift+Tab, Enter, and Space keys.
  • Visible Focus Indicators: All focusable elements have visible focus rings (focus:ring-2) so keyboard users can always see which element is currently focused.
  • Escape Key Support: Modal dialogs and mobile navigation menus can be closed by pressing the Escape key.
  • No Keyboard Traps: Users can navigate freely through all page elements without getting trapped in any section or component.
  • Logical Tab Order: The tab order follows a logical reading sequence from top to bottom, left to right.

4.3 Visual Design

  • Color Contrast: We maintain a minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text, meeting WCAG AA requirements. Our primary text colors (white #FFFFFF and gray #9ca3af) on the dark navy background (#0A1B2E) exceed minimum contrast ratios.
  • No Color-Only Indicators: Information is not conveyed solely through color. Text labels, icons, and other visual indicators are used alongside color to ensure accessibility for colorblind users.
  • Responsive Design: The site is fully responsive and works across all device sizes, from mobile phones to large desktop monitors. Content reflows properly at different zoom levels up to 200%.
  • Text Resizing: Text can be resized up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.

4.4 Images & Media

  • Alternative Text: All meaningful images include descriptive alt text that conveys the purpose and content of the image.
  • Decorative Elements: Purely decorative images and visual effects (such as background orbs and grid patterns) are marked with aria-hidden="true" so screen readers ignore them.
  • SVG Accessibility: Custom SVG icons include appropriate roles and are either labeled for assistive technology or hidden when decorative.

4.5 Interactive Components

  • Mobile Menu: The mobile navigation menu uses role="dialog" and aria-modal="true" attributes. It includes aria-expanded and aria-controls on the toggle button.
  • Scroll Lock: When the mobile menu is open, background scrolling is disabled to prevent confusion and maintain focus context.
  • Link Purpose: All links clearly indicate their destination or purpose, either through visible text or aria-label attributes.

4.6 Motion & Animation

  • Reduced Motion: Animations are designed to be subtle and non-disorienting. Users with the prefers-reduced-motion system setting may experience reduced or no animations where Framer Motion respects this preference.
  • No Auto-Play: No content auto-plays audio, video, or rapidly flashing animations that could trigger seizures.
  • Smooth Scrolling: Scroll behavior is set to smooth, but this does not interfere with keyboard navigation or screen reader functionality.

5. Technical Standards

This website has been built with the following accessibility standards and best practices in mind:

  • WCAG 2.1 Level AA — Web Content Accessibility Guidelines by W3C
  • WAI-ARIA 1.2 — Web Accessibility Initiative – Accessible Rich Internet Applications
  • Section 508 — U.S. federal accessibility requirements (where applicable)
  • EN 301 549 — European accessibility standard for ICT products and services
  • ADA Title III — Americans with Disabilities Act applicability to web accessibility

6. Testing & Evaluation

Our accessibility testing approach includes:

  • Automated Testing: We use automated accessibility scanning tools to identify common issues such as missing alt text, insufficient contrast, and improper heading hierarchy.
  • Manual Testing: Key user flows are manually tested using keyboard-only navigation to ensure all interactive elements are reachable and operable.
  • Screen Reader Testing: Pages are tested with popular screen readers to verify that content is announced correctly and navigation is logical.
  • Browser Compatibility: Testing is conducted across major browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) and both desktop and mobile environments.
  • Code Review: Accessibility considerations are integrated into our development process and code reviews to catch issues before deployment.

7. Assistive Technology Compatibility

This website is designed to be compatible with the following assistive technologies:

  • Screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, TalkBack)
  • Screen magnification software
  • Speech recognition software (Dragon NaturallySpeaking)
  • Keyboard-only navigation
  • Switch access devices
  • Browser zoom (up to 200%)
  • High contrast mode / OS-level contrast settings

If you experience difficulty using any assistive technology with our website, please contact us so we can address the issue.

8. Known Limitations

While we strive for full conformance, the following areas may have limitations:

  • Animated Content: Some scroll-triggered animations powered by Framer Motion may not fully respect the prefers-reduced-motion media query in all scenarios. We are working to ensure all animations are properly gated.
  • Complex SVG Graphics: Some decorative SVG illustrations may not have fully descriptive alternative text beyond their aria-hidden designation.
  • Third-Party Content: Any third-party embedded content or linked external sites are outside our direct control and may not meet the same accessibility standards.
  • PDF Documents: If any PDF documents are provided in the future, they may require additional remediation for full accessibility.

9. Remediation Plan

We are actively working to address known limitations with the following approach:

  • Ongoing audits to identify and resolve any WCAG 2.1 Level AA non-conformance issues
  • Integration of accessibility checks into our development workflow and CI/CD pipeline
  • Regular review of accessibility feedback from users to prioritize improvements
  • Training and education for our development team on accessibility best practices
  • Engagement with accessibility consultants for periodic third-party audits

10. Third-Party Content

Our website may link to or embed content from external third-party services. While we encourage these providers to follow accessibility best practices, we cannot guarantee their conformance with WCAG standards. We are not responsible for the accessibility of third-party content. If you encounter accessibility issues with linked or embedded content, we encourage you to contact the respective third-party provider directly, and we welcome you to notify us as well so we can consider alternatives.

11. Feedback & Contact

We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of the Tapin Wallet website. If you encounter any accessibility barriers, have suggestions for improvement, or need assistance accessing any content, please contact us.
